Get ready to go on ANOTHER hilarious ride with Harold, George, and Mr. Krupp as Captain Underpants, while we read the second book of this fun series!
This is a class where learners will read five chapters of Captain Underpants and The Attack of the Talking toilets each week! They will then get together to complete a SUPER fun activity book and discuss the chapters they read. Because the chapter readings will be completed outside of class, your learner will need to have their own copy of the book, whether it is a digital or physical copy! I hope to have your 8-10 year old learners in class!

~ Discuss where to find the Activity Book, and what to do with it!
Homework:
~ Read the Forward and Chapters 1-4
Week 2
In Class:
~ Complete the Activity Pack and discuss the Forward and Chapters 1-4
Homework:
~ Read Chapters 5-9!
Week 3
In Class:
~ Complete the Activity Pack and discuss Chapters 5-9
Homework:
~ Read Chapters 10-14!
Week 4

~ Complete the Activity Pack and discuss Chapters 10-14

Students will have fun reading and comprehending different aspects of Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets. Through the class activities and discussion, students will deepen their comprehension skills and fall deeper in love with reading.

Supply List
Learners will need to have their own copy of Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets by Dav Pilkey, whether it is a physical or digital copy. Learners will also need access to a printer to print a copy of the Activity Pack and Comprehension Questions.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hi! I'm Mrs. Alex, and I grew up in rural Northern Michigan! I graduated from Grand Valley State University with my teaching degree, and have been working with children or in education since I was in high school. I have been a classroom teacher in charter and private school settings, teaching a wide range of subjects since 2016. I am an experienced English and Social Studies teacher, and have taught other subjects like Personal Finance, Computers, and Business & Personal Law. I am so excited to share my love of teaching AND learning online with Outschool.
I have a Bachelor of Science from Grand Valley State University, and a secondary teaching license in Michigan certifying me to teach English Language Arts, History, Geography and Social Studies (includes Economics and Government/Civics). I have also traveled throughout the state of Michigan and to Washington D.C. to The Smithsonian for formal training. My informal training has been acquired throughout Michigan, Washington D.C., Alabama, Georgia, and Australia.
Throughout my years of working with children, I have found that building relationships with my students, being real with them, and being able to laugh with them has fostered the most learning for everyone. That is why, while expecting great things from my students, I focuss on gauging learning through discussion and short assignments/assessments if they are needed.
Aside from teaching I am the mother of 5 beautiful children. I loves being involved in my children's learning, and I love being involved in any volunteer opportunity that I can fit into my schedule.Reviews
