In this one time class, students will explore the various free tools available in Canva for creative expression. Some of these tools and techniques include choosing elements, importing photos, adding text, changing color and size, copying, and changing the opacity. We will use these tools to create a group poster in Canva. We will also see how these same techniques can be applied to a variety of projects, then easily saved and used as you wish! We will discuss ideas for future projects. No experience is required, other than very basic computer skills.

Parental Guidance
There should be no sensitive topics. We will choose our group project from something non-controversial such as a birthday party or class field trip.
Supply List
Canva will be our main resource. It would be nice if students could have access to it after class to use what they have learned.

Hello! I am Tara Wohlford. I teach reading and language arts classes, as well as more creative classes, such as cooking, photography, and art. I have lots of experience inspiring young learners--10 years in the public school classroom, 8 years homeschooling, 6 years teaching in home school cooperatives, and 3 years teaching ESL online. I want to inspire children to have fun and keep learning their whole lives. I am currently learning the ukulele and am an aspiring full-time RVer!
