1 hour per week. A choice board will be reviewed at the end of class and the instructions explained by the teacher. The pdf can be found after class as an attachment on a classroom post on the classroom page. Students complete one choice from the choice board to complete for the week. This assignment is due by the next class time. Students can post to the classroom page to share their work with the rest of the class. If they prefer to only share with me, they can message me to share their work. We will also have some time in the next class to share/talk about our choice board assignments. I will also complete one square of the choice board to encourage participation and give examples. These weekly classes for this class do not build upon previous weeks and learners are able to join and leave at any time. No matter when you join, you can listen while students share and start the choice board from your first class.Assessment

Want to learn about 4 awesome canines? Have you joined Canine Science class and want to learn about more? Join this Canine Science: Rare Species! Canine species include wolves, dogs, foxes and some you might not have heard of yet like the culpeo. They are ALL absolutely amazing animals, so come and join this class to learn about different canines. Each week, we will learn about a different species of canine. We will learn about their habitat, diet, adaptations, endangered status, and more! Depending on the week's canine, we will view slideshow/pictures to aid in learning about those topics and we will have different activities, games and quizzes. Choice Board Each week, students will be sent a different choice board to choose one activity to complete for homework with an array of fun activities related to the week's canine. A choice board sort of looks link a bingo card but in each square, there is a different option to choose from. These options will be different assignments students can choose from that appeals to their learning style/interests. A choice board allows students choice between a variety of activities that will extend their learning while also allowing them to show their knowledge. Learning Goals
Students will gain knowledge of many different canine species and will be able to independently create/complete an assignment showing their knowledge of at least 2 facts about the canine of the week.

Kahoot 🎮
Depending on the canine of the week and time, we may play a kahoot at the end of class. Please, bring another device to answer the questions or (Kahoot now has a feature to show answers on your screen as well) if you prefer to use another tab to play on the same device that you are taking the class on. The fun review class also includes games on kahoot. Kahoot does not require an account. I will send learners the link and game pin in class.

Hello! My name is Ms. C. I am so excited to see you in my Outschool classroom! I offer many classes related to dogs, wildlife, science, reading, and writing. I love teaching topics from the beautiful animals here on Earth to the gorgeous stars in the sky. I love incorporating reading, art and science all together. I have my Associate’s degree in Animal Science, Associate’s degree in Elementary Education, and my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Middle Dual Education with a specialization in Science. I am a certified teacher, and I am currently a substitute teacher and an Outschool teacher. I strive to support all my students in learning and welcoming them to a safe space. I encourage creativity, pursuing interests, and a passion for lifelong learning. I enjoy reading, writing, and being outside. A hobby that has always helped me relax has been drawing or painting.
