Description
Class Experience
In this fun class, young dancers will begin with a Ballet warm up including plié’s, tendu’s, and sauté’s. Students will learn technical skills such as turn out, posture, and arm placement. Once our bodies are warm, we will begin learning a dance inspired by the candy canes in the classical Nutcracker ballet production. No experience needed. You are welcome to use a chair to hold for balance. Students will follow along for all the combinations and are encouraged to perform for family at the end.
Students will learn technique including turn out, posture, arm and foot placement and tips on remembering the choreography.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
To participate in this class, students must have access to an open space with no obstacles. Having a water bottle near by is highly recommended to stay hydrated during this dance class.
