Students will learn how to take a paper napkin, cut out an image, and stick it to a candle. These candles are beautiful and you can make holiday candles as well as decorative everyday candles. Students will need to be capable of using an iron. Parents may assist. Please have supplies before class. Napkins can be purchased at different places like Walmart, marshals, tjmax, hobby lobby, etc. You can use old fashion wax candles or you can use battery operated wax candles. I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone creates!!!

About Me
Hello prospective parents and guardians! My name is Kristy Gay and I live on a farm in Citronelle, Alabama, USA! I received my B.S. Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and taught 1st Grade for many years. My husband and I have 4 wonderful children(19,17,15 and 12), 3 of whom I am currently homeschooling. We are in our 15th year!!! Learning through play allows children to nurture their creativity and develop an array of skills including fine and gross motor skills, conflict resolution, problem-solving, positive self-esteem and SO much more! I find so much joy in teaching beginner reading skills (letter recognition, phonics, sight words, etc.) by also incorporating play-based learning strategies.
My classes will always be engaging and allow every student to cultivate their own learning experience! We will learn together, and even HAVE FUN learning with farm animals!!! New animals are born weekly on the farm!
I am excited to get to know your child!
-Mrs. Kristy 🐣
