This 8 week course will explore Canadian Social Studies, focusing on People and Environments, the Political and Physical Regions of Canada (based on the Ontario and Alberta Social Studies Curricula, grades 4-6). Learners will be able to identify Canada's regions, the roles and responsibilities of citizens and of different levels of government in Canada, and describe Canada's involvement around the world.
I am an Ontario Teacher, certified by the Ontario College of Teachers. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education with a teachable in Geography. I am certified to teach grades Kindergarten to Grade 10.
Homework Offered
Some weeks learners will be assigned short research-based homework assignments. Any activities not finished during class may be assigned for homework.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

We will use Google Suite (drive, docs, slides forms) in this course. Learners will occasionally be asked to respond to Google Forms or demonstrate learning in a Google Doc. Google Slides and Jamboards will be displayed via screen sharing by the teacher but learners will not be required to use them on their own.
