O'Canada! This 6 week course will be part 2 of exploring Canadian Social Studies, focusing on People and Environments, the Political and Physical Regions of Canada (based on the Ontario and Alberta Social Studies Curricula, grades 2 and 3). This course does not explore Canadian History, Heritage or Identity. Learners are not required to have taken part 1 of this course in order to take part 2. Learners will be able to examine the connections between our natural environment and employment industries, discuss ways to reduce negative impacts of land use and use social studies vocabulary to communicate their knowledge.
I am a Canadian Teacher, certified by the Ontario College of Teachers. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education with a teachable in Geography. I am certified to teach grades Kindergarten to Grade 10.

We will use Google Suite (drive, docs, slides forms) in this course. Learners will occasionally be asked to respond to Google Forms or demonstrate learning in a Google Doc or on Google Slides. Jamboards will be displayed via screen sharing by the teacher but learners will not be required to use them on their own.
