Description
Class Experience
This course provides learners with an introduction to Canadian democracy. What is democracy? We will begin with some basic theories of democracy to think about political power, the state and government, and democracy in general and in the Canadian context. Moving forward, each week will explore an aspect of the Canadian political landscape. We will look at the three pillars of Canadian government, including the Legislature, the Executive, and Judicial branches. Understanding these...

Tyler currently holds both a BA Political Science & Philosophy (Distinction & Honours) and a MEd. He is currently pursuing his PhD in the programme of Social and Political Thought at York University in Toronto, Ontario. Tyler is an avid world traveller. He has lived, worked, researched, studied and traveled across thirty-three countries and counting. To the benefit of this class, this includes all of Canada.
