๐ฉโ๐ฌMaster Punnett Squares in just 45 minutes! In this engaging and interactive class, your student will practice completing Punnett Squares and the basics of Mendelian genetics. By the end of this session, they will confidently predict genetic outcomes and feel like a Genius Geneticist! ๐จโ๐ฌMany students struggle with understanding how traits are passed down and inherited. Genetics can be confusing and abstract concept, but we will break it down into simple, manageable steps. This class was made out of a desire to make genetics fun and accessible to all students. We will do hands-on practice and use memory devices to remember the various parts of Punnett squares. ๐ฌPrevious knowledge of Mendelian genetics is required as this course will only touch on the basics and focus mostly on practicing Punnett squares and predicting genetic outcomes. Student Outcomes: โ Gain skills in genetics -Students will practice and master Punnett squares after a short tutorial โ Develop confidence in science -Genetics can be very difficult and abstract, but with practice and guidance students will grow confident in their skills
Learning Goals
Students will predict inheritance of certain traits using a Punnett square.
