This will make the process of cracking the codes easier for them.* Do you love ciphers and secret messages??? Then this is the class for you! Every week we will learn a new cipher or code with several challenges for you. No prior knowledge is needed for any of the classes, just make sure you have printed out the handout or have it pulled up on your device, along with something to write with! The entire class will be devoted to mastering that specific code while also learning some alternatives to the code! As a fun assessment, each class will also have an Escape Room lesson. Students will be forced to use their knowledge of the codes in order to escape the Bunker! In order to leave class at the end, students will have to use their knowledge of the codes to escape our classroom! All you need to bring to class is a piece of paper and something to write with and we are going to have a lot of fun!
Learning Goals
Students will use critical thinking skills as they decipher codes and also create codes for their friends and family.
