This club will focus on a different Cryptid each week. We'll explore the evidence, stories, eyewitness accounts, and other details about each cryptid. Discussions will explore the possibility of such a creature existing, considering biological and scientific principles that might help us understand if a creature like this could really exist or we can rationally explain it using what we know about the world and nature. Beyond biological principles and concepts, we'll also explore the origins...
This class is taught in English.
Learners will practice critical thinking skills, engage in rational argument, analyze and interpret data, apply biological principles to make inferences, and practice research skills to help make decisions about the existence of legendary creatures.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and no time outside of class.
