Description

Class Experience

In this multiple-day class, students will learn about the well-known artist Georgia O’Keefe. She was a famous artist in a time when women in art was rare. Encouraged by her parents to pursue a career in art, Georgia went to art college and found her passion. She is most famous for her flowers, but she also created cityscapes and nature. Students will learn how to use a variety of art techniques including paint, chalk pastels, oil pastels and collage.

4 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Students will be using scissors to cut out pieces of paper. Have your students use scissors they are comfortable with to accomplish the task.
