In this multi-day course, Students will be challenged to identify the author's purpose, mood, tone, setting, characters, plot, and climax in a variety of short stories from different genres.

Class experience

US Grade 7 - 10
Students will improve their understanding of author's purpose, mood, tone, setting, characters, plot, and climax.
Homework Offered
Reading the short stories before each lesson.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Course is recommended for mature students. Some topics for the short stories discussed may be upsetting to some students. Topics include death, magic, gang mentality, murder, hunting, and violence.
