Class Experience

Welcome to Camp Quirky, a summer camp designed to inspire creativity and celebrate uniqueness in every camper! Our sessions are packed with fun, hands-on activities that encourage self-expression through writing, painting, drawing, and more.

We believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where campers can freely express themselves and showcase their unique talents.

Our Creative Quirky Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in a Gallery Walk/Celebration at the end of the camp, where they can proudly share their artwork for fellow campers to admire.

My Teaching Style:
I am a bubbly quirky creative myself with a passion to sparking or kindling the creative spark in others. I encourage open dialogue and sharing in a safe environment. I let the students know that we do not critique anyone's work we only celebrate!

I have a passion for empowering and elevating young minds and hearts by giving them engaging and challenging educational classes and resources. With a focus on Art, Literacy, and Entrepreneurship, you will find that my classes surround creative expression, non-traditional ELAR classes, and leadership development/life skills. Some of the creative courses includes Photography, Zine Making, Powerful Posters ( a class around an issue they are passionate about). Some of the literacy courses will be The Heroe's Journey, Dystopian Stories and Writing, ELAR Semester and more. The leadership development/ life skills incorporate resume writing, learning their leadership style, self-advocacy, and project-based learning.

I have been teaching for 12 years in the above areas and know that my purpose and what I am gifted at is teaching. I am certified in ELAR, Special Education, ESL, and Therapeutic Arts.

I believe in helping to mold and cultivate humans and not robots and believe that subjects involving the humanities are vital for that. Giving young folks words and self-expression allows them to learn who they are and how they fit in this world.

I am a new fur mom to a spoiled Goldendoodle named, Canary.
