When the clay pieces are dry, students can paint their clay pieces with either acrylic or tempera paint. Please share pieces when they are completed.Class Experience
In this class, students will create a variety of wizardly themed clay projects using hand building techniques including Slab, Pinch, and Coil. Students will learn how to use pottery tools and pottery vocabulary as they follow along step-by-step with Ms. Crystal. Students will learn basic clay building vocabulary and how to clean up their tools and learning space. Students are encouraged to engage with the teacher and other students by asking questions and sharing their process. Students are encouraged to share their finished pieces in the classroom discussion board. Recordings are made available after each class to aid in learning and for students to refer back to for terms and techniques. Breakdown of the class: Day 1: Cauldron and Wand Day 2: Wizardly Bobble Head Day 3: The Wizard Hat Day 4: Dragon

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am an illustrator, artist, teacher, business owner, and a pug mom. I have a degree in Illustration, a visual art minor with 20 years of teaching experience. I believe that knowledge is power and the more you know the greater your influence can be. Learning should be fun and individual. Even when my students are looking at the same picture for painting class, their work is very individual and unique to them and I love that part of the creative process. We are all learners and we should celebrate each other on the Journey!
