Description
Class Experience
In this multi-day class, learners will become familiar with a variety of styles of poetry. Students will also learn how to write their own poetry using techniques they learn from being immersed in poetry. We will read lots and lots of poems and analyze the techniques poets use - including imagery, onomatopoeia, simile, metaphor, and especially humor! Learners will be encouraged to illustrate their poems as well. Through immersion, students will develop a stronger academic poetry vocabulary....
I am certified in childhood and special education, as well as literacy.
