In this class, students are introduced to Claude Monet and the Impressionist movement. This movement was influenced by new technology such as photography and the paint tube. Students will follow along step-by-step with the teacher to create their own Impressionist themed art piece. Students are encouraged to engage through asking questions, showing their progress and adding their own feedback to questions. After finishing their weekly masterpiece, students are encouraged to share their art piece with the class via the classroom board. Recordings are made available after each class for students to refer back to what was covered in class, terminology and different painting techniques. Day 1: Impressionist Water Lilies Day 2: Painting Movement Day 3: Art by the Sea Day 4: Impressionist Sunset

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am an illustrator, artist, teacher, business owner, and a pug mom. I have a degree in Illustration, a visual art minor with 20 years of teaching experience. I believe that knowledge is power and the more you know the greater your influence can be. Learning should be fun and individual. Even when my students are looking at the same picture for painting class, their work is very individual and unique to them and I love that part of the creative process. We are all learners and we should celebrate each other on the Journey!
