This week long camp will provide students with instructions and background information over basic, beginner origami. Students will learn basic information about each shape and how to make each shape. Students will learn to male one origami shape per day. The teacher will give verbal directions while modeling proper folding techniques. Students will follow the teachers directions and ask for help where needed. Students will be able to interact with the teacher and other students in the camp through fun conversation. Since this camp is for beginners, no prior knowledge of origami is necessary. By the end of the week each student will have 5 origami shapes they have folded themselves. Students will be able to create five origami shapes and explain the meaning of each shape.

Hello! My name is Faith Miller. I am a Science and STEM teacher who is passionate about learning and making learning meaningful and fun! I offer a variety of Science, STEM, Life Skills, and other fun classes, ranging from one-time sessions to semester-long courses.
I have a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Instructional Technology, as well as STEM certifications through PLTW. I am also currently a doctoral student studying Instructional Systems Design and Technology, which allows me to continuously refine my teaching strategies to create the most engaging and effective learning experiences for my students.
My educational background and diverse teaching experiences help me be the best teacher I can be. I believe that all students are capable of learning and thriving when they find their passion. Since everyone learns differently, I strive to create lessons that meet students where they are and help them discover what works best for them. Learning should be fun!
In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors, photography, spending time with my family and pets, and exploring new ways to make learning exciting!
