Class experience
Let's play Dungeons & Dragons over your school break! In this 5-day camp, we'll spend our time traveling with our D&D 5E characters through Andrew Kolb's Neverland Roleplaying Setting! (Inspired by JM Barrie's Peter Pan, minus the problematic content of the original story.) You'll encounter pirates, fairies, gnomes, & other magical creatures through your island adventures. Let's solve mysteries & collect treasure! This campaign is excellent for newer players, we'll all help each other...
Students will utilize the soft skills of socialization, time management, teamwork, creative thinking, and conflict resolutions. These are some of the most important life skills to instill in any child for lifelong success and happiness! Students will also utilize mathematics through dice rolls, stat calculations, encumbrance, multiplication, and more. Students will utilize language arts through the use of literary elements, storytelling, reading, writing, and other communication.
1 file available upon enrollmentA handout will be provided to all students with recommended resources. No supply purchases are necessary to take this class. Please, however, have your character sheet ready to go for class! (Printed or digital is fine.)

A very common aspect of DnD is combat-style battles. This is done in a fictional fantasy manner and is not described in disturbing detail. DND Beyond (free account required) is recommended if your student would like to create a digital character sheet and join the "campaign" to access my library of Dungeons and Dragons digital book collection for free. THIS IS NOT A REQUIREMENT. Your student can create a completely hand-written character sheet during this series as well.
