Class Experience
Each class we will practice making adding or subtracting numbers. Together we will make and interpret models of various math addition and subtraction math facts. We will complete a printable math worksheet together to transition from physical items to picture representations, and finally to numbers sentences (ex. 2 + 3 = 5). Finally, we will play a game to practice adding and subtracting numbers (Snakes and Ladders OR addition/subtraction Bingo). There will be lots of fun printables to...
Students will learn to model addition and subtraction facts within 20. Students will interpret models of addition and subtraction facts within 20. Students will explore the relationship between addition and subtraction. Students will count and recognize different representations of the numbers 1-20.
Students will be given materials then can print and use at home for additional practice with the weekly math concept.
Printable math worksheets (supplied) Pencil Crayons 20 small counters (coins, bingo chips, legos, dry beans)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
