|Camp Kick! 2 | SAT Prep | Graphing Linear Relationships | Summer Camp
This 3-Day high-energy summer camp gets your learner kick'n it into high gear with linear graphs and equations on the SAT. Easier concepts/questions on day 1. Medium on day 2. Challenging on day 3. Get ready! SAT's are coming!
What's included
3 live meetings
1 hrs 15 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
This summer camp meets 3 days in a row for 25-minutes for each session packed full of content. We will take the topics of linear algebra problems on the SAT and tackle 4-6 SAT questions in a session following a 5-10 minute concept review. We will keep the pace quick while understanding that some learners will just be getting introduced to a topic while others will be proficient and just trying to discover and fill in gaps. Every problem will be fully explained so that learners can return to the recorded video to review at a slower pace. Problem content will all be linear algebra problems in nature and all questions covered will each cover linear algebra problems, unless there is time in the session for drilling or repeating a type of problem (students are encouraged to study the class recording to additional support). The three camp sessions will be as follows: Day 1: warm up and concept lesson followed by 4-6 easy level SAT questions Day 2: warm up and concept lesson followed by 4-6 medium-difficulty level SAT questions Day 3: warm up and concept lesson followed by 4-6 challenging level SAT questions I've been certified in the public schools for teaching math in middle and high schools. I received additional certified training for gifted and talented learners. I taught math for sixteen years and I've been a personal SAT tutor for seven years. My students have typically raised their scores between 100 and 300 points. As a chemical engineer and project management professional in the world of business consulting and information technology consulting, I've completed over five levels of college calculus and applied mathematics and used these math and computing skills throughout my career. The students I have taught had varying learning abilities that ranged from one with pronounced learning disabilities to gifted and talented. When it came to PSAT's and SAT's, each of them with impressive improvements in their scores. It can be done! Just watch how your learner improves!
Learning Goals
After this camp, your learner will be able to say, "I am better prepared for and more confident now about linear equations on the SAT".

Parental Guidance
Students will have far more fun if they have taken high school math courses and are comfortable with the terminology and concepts. This class is not an introductory or concept teaching class, although many times students are rusty or have never been taught certain concepts that are on the SAT. When that happens, learners will be introduced to the concept briefly with a concise explanation on how to solve the problems with the time available without slowing the pace of the class. We keep the class flowing so that your learner gets used to the quick pace for the timed SAT. Students are expected to be familiar enough to participate.

I've taught SAT prep for over 12 years now with strong record of improving SAT scores by as much as 300 points. It isn't just the knowledge and expertise as a math teacher that helps me be successful. It's also knowing and understanding the hearts of the learner who is preparing for this test and preparing for life after college. I know how to get the learner to appreciate the beauty in how to solve the SAT math problems quickly and elegantly.
