Description
Class Experience
In this flexible schedule class (no live meetings), students will learn about each of the parts of speech. Each week, we will define a different part of speech, practice identifying it, put it into context, and apply our learning through writing. Classes include videos, quizzes, interactive games, and more! Lessons will be posted in the Outschool classroom every Monday and due the following Sunday. Games and quizzes will be linked in the lesson. Students will compete against each other...
Students will finish the class with a clear understanding of each part of speech and how it contributes to a sentence.
As an English language arts and reading teacher of ten years, I see often how the fundamentals of grammar are often left unmastered. Students need these integral parts of language to be proficient writers in elementary and secondary school as well as effective communicators in the years beyond high school.
Homework (listing words for the part of speech, completing fill in the blanks, etc.) will be assigned weekly.

A quiz at the end of the course will be available for students to take with results for parents to view.
