I have my K-8 multiple subject credential and have been teaching for almost 10 years. I have also been tutoring in this subject for 17 years. I have been able to make learning engaging for students, even for students who have no interest in math. Many of 3rd grade classes have came in so no students were on grade level and by the end of the year I have been able to get 70% at or above grade level. Also, 100% of my class showing growth, since some come at a kinder level, they are able to move up to a second grade level by the end of the year and move up 2 or 3 years in one year.
Students will need paper and a pencil or a white board and marker. The whiteboard and marker make it fun for students to write, so I strongly encourage it if you have it available.
Students will get a grade once they are done with the escape room.
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Student will need permission to use Google Forms for this to complete this class. By letting your child into this class, you are consenting to allow them to use Google Forms to participate in this escape room 4 day camp.
