Have your learners been begging you to send them to a sleepaway camp? Are you reluctant because of germs, safety, or a million other reasons? Then this is the class for you! Give your learner a dose of what summer camp is REALLY like and they may finally stop asking. Just Kidding! In this week long class, we will discuss three different horror slashers! All movies are available for rent or free on most streaming services including Amazon, and will be watched independently, outside of class....
-Students will refine critical thinking skills. -Students will learn how to use evidence to criticize and support theories. -Students will work on public speaking and social skills with learners who share the same interests. -Students will explore their imaginations.
I am certified to teach US grades 7-12 English Language Arts and have a Master's degree in Professional Education. I also love horror movies and took a few film studies classes for my undergrad in anthropology.

Parental guidance is suggested as the movies involve graphic violence and adult content. It is suggested that grownups have previously seen the movies. Grownups can also check out parent and child reviews at Common Sense Media and the IMDB Parent Guide. Learners will need access to the streaming platform of your choice, a library, or hard copy of the films.
