Description

Class Experience

Students will learn not only about key figures, faces and facts of American history but also important places and historical tracks that we will go down and explore together. Each learner will get a newfound appreciation for all the history truly hidden in plain sight on the fronts and backs of U.S. currency and coins and will then able to connect that history to important moments, dates, presidents and more from our storied past! This will improve each students understanding of social studies while also strengthening their deductive reasoning skills, critical thinking skills and public speaking skills through all the sharing we will do in class.
My background in teaching American History as well as my numerous years consulting as a numismatist for varying currency collections make me an ideal teacher for this always interesting and intriguingly "priceless" topic!
The only homework will be to expand their own curiosity about coins and currency by further researching the memorable details we all uncover together in class!
5 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
