Important Notes: All of my classes are inclusive. Classes are suitable for the neurodiverse child. CEFR: B1-B2 and above. In this Art History inspired Camp, Learner selects 5 classes that are personally inspiring to discover our fascinating Human World Art History from rock carvings to present day, covering a thoughtfully curated, international selection of major Master Artists, Media and Styles. Each class presents a central theme from which the discovery unfolds from prehistoric to contemporary art. By the end of this camp, Learner will be personally enriched, have developed greater appreciation for the world and its cultures, and have become an impressive and blossoming art connoisseur. Class meets three times a week, for 1 week, covering three classes from the following choices (parent is to to email Teacher Pamela Ocana in advance with their selection). Latin American Master Artists; Art History - Landscapes' Tranquility ; Art History - Western Art Movements of the 19th and 20th Century; Art History - Yayoi Kusama, the Empress of Mirrors & Pumpkins; Art History - Ancient Toys Living in Museums Across the World; Art History - Automotive History - Dedicated to the Kid Who Loves Cars and Art; Art History - Astronomy - A Starry Time for Kids Who Love Art & Space; Art History - Japan/Nippon's Cultural Highlights, Land of the Rising Sun; Art History - Venuses - Intrepid Women Who Shaped Their Dreams; Art History - Whispering Instruments in the Visual Arts Art History - The Thanksgiving Tradition Through Its Many Angles Art History - The Royal, Terrifying, Spooky and Funny Art History - One Hundred Years of Cuban Art Expressions Art History - Master Painter Ramon Oviedo, The Dominican Picasso Art History - Inspiration and Synesthesia, Painting Your Feelings to Debussy Camp teaching style is structured in a relaxed, interactive, enthusiastic environment, filled with curiosity. Each class will include a rich slide presentation with details that extend beyond the obvious, sharing unique inside stories. Class size is one on one to include personalized interest/selection, as well as time for Q&A where Learner may further interests. Each class material will complement each other with no repetitions, so that at the end Learner will be truly familiar with some of the world's major civilizations, world geography, master artists, media and styles. No previous experience is required. Camp may be repeated with different class selections each week.
