Class experience
Chess is a beautiful game which helps in critical and logical thinking. The students who learn chess develop spatial skills and have shown marked increase in IQ, memory, concentration and problem solving skills. This class will introduce them to the game of chess and help them learn the basic level game. Apart from introducing the chess board, the moves of the chess pieces, the lessons will focus on: Day 1 : Understanding the chess board Piece introduction Chess board setup Day...
Students will be able to read the board, understand end games and apply the winning tactics.
For game play we will use the anonymous play on chess.org. The student does not have to sign in or create an account and the teacher will guide on how to send an anonymous game play link.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
