Class Experience

We are certified and insured yoga teachers registered with the Yoga Alliance. We all have multiple years of experience teaching children's yoga in studios and online. All Yoga Kid Collective teachers have been trained in the curriculum and have experience making crafts and teaching kids!

Below you will find the supply list for each day. Keep in mind that everyday we will need a yoga mat, water and a positive attitude! Additionally, each day we will need specific supplies to conduct the calm crafting portion of the class. Here are the supplies needed day by day. Please let Yoga Kid Collective know if you have any questions about the supply list through a comment in the classroom or a direct message to the Organization. Day 1: - 2 clean socks (preferably new- never used) - 1-2 cups of uncooked rice - A spoon and a bowl (for the rice) - A rubber band - Essential oil (any scent) **optional only if you want a scented eye pillow** - Markers, glitter glue, ribbons, buttons, or any other decorations to customize your eye pillow! Day 2: - Jar (glass or plastic is fine, but must be transparent) - Glitter (or dirt) - Water Day 3: - Index Cards (or paper) - Pen or pencil - Colored pencils, markers, or crayons Day 4: - Smooth rock or stone - Acrylic paint - Cotton Swabs (Q-tips) - Toothpicks - Small paint brush Day 5: - White paper (thick card stock or watercolor paper is best) - White crayon (or lighter color like yellow, grey, or light blue) - Watercolor paints - Small paint brushes
6 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class has very little risk of injury due to its slow paced nature, but just in case please be aware of any potential hazards when performing yoga as part of a fitness routine. You will need an open workout space, slip proof socks or bare feet, a mat, and comfortable clothing. 

Please note, this type of yoga is much slower than other types of yoga. If you child has trouble sitting still or focusing, this class could be very beneficial. However, if your child needs it, please feel free to stay nearby to help your child focus and relax into the postures, do the crafts, etc.

Also, if your child has trouble opening jars or pouring water, it may be helpful to be nearby and assist on Day 2 during the mindfulness craft section.
