In this class, students will learn watercolor techniques including adding depth, texture, and interest. Students will follow along step-by-step with their teacher to create their own unique piece of art. Students are encouraged to engage in the class by asking questions and sharing their progress as they go through the class. Day 1: Salt and Wax Resist Day 2: Sunset and Silhouette Day 3: Sharpie and Plastic Wrap Day 4: Sponge Tree
Need Everyday: Watercolor Paper Watercolors Paint Brush Cup with water Table Covering Additional materials by the day: Day 1: Salt (NOT Kosher) White Oil Pastel Day 2: Hair Dryer Black Tempera or Acrylic Paint Day 3: Hair Dryer Black Sharpie Plastic Wrap Day 4: Small Dry Kitchen Sponge Hair Dryer
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
