This class ongoing was designed with young students in mind. If your child finds themself constantly feeling like they are wound up and cant seem to relax, this is the perfect class for them! In this class we will focus on our mind-body connection and how we can use it to calm our bodies down in all situations. I have been practicing mindfulness and meditation myself for the past 9 years through the guidance of several certified meditation teachers. Through my Yoga Teacher Training I have also been guided by my instructors on how the practice of meditation and how to teach it.
1 file available upon enrollmentI suggest wearing loose fitting clothes so that students will be comfortable while sitting. Sitting in a chair might be helpful for some students as the back of the chair supports the body. It is also nice to sometimes sit up elevated on a cushion.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
