Description

Class Experience

- Students will learn how to calm their minds through meditation
-Students will learn breathing techniques to help bring themselves into a focused state of mind
-Students will learn about "body scanning" in order to have better mind-body awareness
I have been practicing mindfulness and meditation myself for the past 9 years through the guidance of several certified meditation teachers. Through my Yoga Teacher Training I have also been guided by my instructors on how the practice of meditation and how to teach it.

I suggest wearing loose fitting clothes so that students will be comfortable while sitting. Sitting in a chair might be helpful for some students as the back of the chair supports the body. It is also nice to sometimes sit up elevated on a cushion.
1 hour 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
