20 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
No materials required for this class. A quiet place where your child can sit or lie and be undisturbed by noise is best which includes no radio, television, affectionate pets, phones, computers, iPad to distract. This class will be offered on a regular basis. Feel free to request "best times" for your child. We will begin with introductions of one another to create a comfortable atmosphere. A short fun interactive Q&A time will follow so I can access how familiar each child is with relaxation and meditation verbiage and ability and how best to proceed so each child's needs are met. The goal is to relax and "go inward" so in our daily life we can think and respond better and calmly in times of over-excitement, stress, and confusion. A lifetime skill tool for the whole family!
Learning Goals
Children will learn the following techniques: easy meditation techniques they can use at any time, focused breathing, how to recognize stress in the body and relax muscles throughout their body, mindful creativity through imaging, how to recognize the differences of outside stimuli and their own inner voice, and how to connect to their inner voice for guidance when needed.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I've been teaching children how to meditate for many years through my Meeting IKE Series for Children method (IKE is their Inner Knowledge Elf). I was raised in a holistic, metaphysical, spiritual home, attended the Association for Research and Enlightenment children's camp and returned as an adult as a special guest instructor teaching my method. My mother is Carol Ann Liaros who has taught, presented, and lectured at the A.R.E. for many decades. Additional information regarding my credentials can be found in my Teacher Bio.
