During this course we will talk about anger. Anger is something that we all feel and it is important to learn what to do to manage that feeling appropriately. The focus of the group will be to work on solutions and learn how to express anger appropriately. Deep breathing and relaxation techniques will be taught. This course will help your child be more educated on emotions and ways that people can calm down when they emotion feels very big. Week 1- Group Introduction We will talk about what the purpose of the group is and introduce ourselves to one another. Week 2- Rules of Feeling Angry We will talk about appropriate and inappropriate ways that people often express anger. Week 3- Labeling Feelings We will talk about different emotions and how to label them. Week 4- Measuring Feelings We will talk about how we can feel different emotions in a range. Some emotions may be small while others may feel very big. Week 5 and 6- Calming Strategies We will learn different calming techniques to use in times of feeling anger. Week 7- Anger Catcher We will go over different ways that people cope with anger. Week 8- Triggers We will talk about different ways that anger can be triggered. Week 9- Be Your Own Role Model- We will discuss how to be the best versions of ourselves with a growth mindset. Week 10- Group Termination We will review the information learned and talk about the group terminating.

We will use google docs in order to complete some of the tasks. These will have to be printed before the class begins.
