Class Experience

Students will-
Learn how to use a glue gun responsibly
Learn new designs to create with a glue gun
Learn a new paint technique to create effects
Be using a variety of materials to create a fun art project
Create their own designed and created wand!
I have taught numerous wand making classes on Outschool as well as other classes designing with a glue gun.
Materials you will need- Wooden dowels, a branch, chopsticks, etc. Any thickness, any length you'd like. Acrylic craft paint- any color you prefer. (We will use at least 2 colors so have a dark color and a lighter shade.) Metallic, Neon or Glitter paints work well too! A brush with water for paint and a towel / paper towel. A glue gun with glue sticks. (Low or High temperature will work. 4-6 mini glue sticks or 1-3 full size) Marbles, glass stones or large plastic jewels to place at the end of the wand. A jar, vase or can you can rest the wands in while drying. Something you can have under you to catch any drips of glue or paint Pencil Optional- Sand paper or a sanding block to sand the end of the dowel.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be using a glue gun. Please make sure your student feels comfortable using one. If they need help, you are welcome to help them. Please make sure you are off camera if you need to help them. Thank you!
