This one class about llamas will cover facts, gestation, anatomy, care, uses on a farm, vocabulary, breeds & more! This lesson will compose of 5 tasks that can be done in one day or over a week. The lesson will end with a Kahoot quiz.

Each task will have worksheets or assignments with them. These tasks should take a student around 20-10 minutes to complete. These can be done over 5 days or how ever best fits the students schedule.Certificate of Completion

Animal science helps students explore and learn about animals and how each has unique qualities. Perfect for future vets, zoologists, farmers and any student who just loves animals! We will learn about llamas anatomy, diet, gestation, care needed, uses on a farm and so much more! This class is a self-paced course meaning we will not meet live together. This lesson will compose of 5 tasks that can be done daily or all in one day what ever works best for the student! The lesson will have a video along with worksheets, vocabulary words to learn, practice review games, a video to watch and worksheet to complete on the differences of alpacas and llamas and a link to a corresponding Kahoot to finish the course. Optional-students will be encouraged to make a notebook where they keep all their completed worksheets throughout the class. Certificates of completion are available as well. Students will be encouraged to share completed worksheets, something new they learned, along with any questions.
Learning Goals
Identify basic facts about llamas including diet, anatomy, and uses on farms.Learn new vocabulary terms in relation to llamas like what males, females, babies are called and more.

Llamas
Time to learn and explore what llamas eat, how they are used on farms, fun facts, their gestation and more! There will be a list of vocabulary words to learn, a video on the differences between llamas and alpacas and worksheets to complete. 5 assignments

Parental Guidance
We will be discussing how llamas are used for meat briefly in the course.
We will be using Kahoot for vocabulary review and the final assessment quiz.
Supply List
Students will need a printer to print of work sheets or they can use the Kami extension to complete worksheets online. Optional-students will have the opportunity to make a notebook to hold all their completed worksheets in and will need a spiral or composite notebook.
