This class will focus on interview skills, note-taking, and writing a draft. Students will learn the basics of a good interview, how to effectively take notes during an interview, and then how to use those notes to create an interesting feature story. The first 10 minutes will give a background on interviewing basics. The learners will then spend 20 minutes interviewing the teacher. Afterwards, they will work with the teacher to structure an article and then write a feature piece based on the interview. If there is time, they will share their work or submit it to the teacher for comments.
