Class experience
In this intermediate calligraphy course students will be taught how to develop their own calligraphy style. We use a traditional calligraphy pen and build upon the skills learned in my beginner course, 'Pointed Pen Calligraphy for Beginners'. Students will learn how to develop their own calligraphy style by exploring the different elements that make each style different from the next. In this intermediate calligraphy course the goal is to help students develop their own calligraphy style by exploring various tools that will guide them as they develop their own individual calligraphy style. By the end of this three week course students will have created their own lettering style and will be able to take what they have learned to continue lettering and using calligraphy for their own desired purpose. Whether that's for class projects, bullet journaling, art projects, etc.
I am a Fine Art Letterpress Stationer and Calligrapher. That’s a whimsical way to say I make very fancy wedding invitations using calligraphy, illustration, and old print method called letterpress. As much as I love working with my brides I have a passion for teaching art to children! The skills I teach my students in Outschool are skills that I am using in my business on a daily basis!
