US Grade 3 - 4
Students will learn about an atom. Students will be able to define what an atom is. They will be able to identify the different parts of an atom and know the charge for each. Students will be able to discuss the Atomic Theory. Students will be able to identify the number of electrons, protons, and neutrons in different elements. I like to interact with the students as much as possible. They are free to comment or ask questions throughout the class. I will ask them questions as well to gage understanding. I am a pretty laid back teacher. I do not like to assign homework. But I can give individual students extra work or reading at the parent's request.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to define an atom, discuss Atomic Theory, and identify the number of subatomic particles for a neutral atom.
