Warzone is a battle royale style game played on Xbox, Playstation, and PC. Learners and I will jump into games together and battle it out with other teams to try and be the last team standing. I have a youth sports performance background, so my teaching style focuses on working hard but always keeping a positive attitude and having fun. During the game we will strive for great communication and teamwork, and work to improve any areas that the learners feel are lacking in their gameplay. This is a challenging game played with people of varying skill levels. Patience and good sportsmanship are put to the test and will be emphasized. Some of the things we will work on: 1 - Teamwork and Communication 2 - Building the perfect loadout/Controller settings 3 - Strategy and Rotations 4 - Self assessment/Areas to improve Warzone is rated M (depicts war and violence) This should be reviewed beforehand to ensure you are comfortable with your learner playing this game. Settings can be changed in the game to disable some of the more graphic content. I can show learners how to do this during the first class. Learners must have an Activision account set up and all game updates done prior to the start of class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I teach classes geared towards improving learners confidence and social skills while making sure they have a fun time doing so. I received my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2012. I was a trainer and sports performance coach after college for 5 years, working with athletes of all skill levels whose ages ranged from 4-17. I was also a group fitness instructor for 10 years. I love teaching children how to improve their athletic ability and help them feel more confident in themselves. For the past 5 years I have been a firefighter and EMT and have loved serving the community and helping people in their time of need. As a firefighter, I also taught fire safety to students in elementary and middle schools. Some of my other passions include sports, video games, and Harry Potter. My best friend, besides my wife, is my 2 year old Australian Shepherd. He is very fun-loving and energetic. You will probably see him make an appearance in class, whether I want him there or not!
