This class is great for all learners interested in Native American culture. This 8-week class is a great addition for students studying California history. No previous background knowledge is required.

We will be learning specifically about the Chumash Native American tribe of California. This course will help students discover the Chumash location in California, culture, daily life, legends, and their first contact with Europeans.

I will post one pre-recorded lesson (20-30 minute power point presentation) every Monday along with an optional homework assignment. Class discussion boards will be posted throughout the week in the Outschool Classroom Tab. We will interact online through our message board. Periodically, I will assign small writing or drawing projects that learners will be encouraged to share with the class. We will also watch videos and read articles pertaining to topics we will be covering throughout the course. Learners are asked to consistently log into the Outschool classroom for updated posts and assignments.
