In this one-time class, students will explore the calendar through songs and visuals. They will learn the days of the week, months of the year, how to say/write the current date, seasons, weather patterns, and holidays.

US Grade Preschool - 1
Students will learn by interacting through song and dance. I will provide a visual calendar to show organization and seasonal themes. At the end of the lesson, students will practice their new skills by using a virtual calendar. Students will learn: - The Days of the Week song -The Months of the Year song (with motions) -How to say and write todays date -The order of the days of the week, months of the year, and seasons - What year we are in -Which holidays occur in the current month - What weather patterns happen in the current season Students have the opportunity to interact with the teacher and each other by sharing their favorite seasons and holidays. We will also discuss where you find calendars and why/how we use them. * If there are no learners present 10 minutes into class, the lesson will be cancelled. *If students do not show refunds will not be provided. A recording will be posted as long as at least one learner is present. If you know you cannot attend class and wish for a recorded lesson, please let me know before class begins.

Hello! If you see a one -time class that you would like to take another day, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.
I was a classroom teacher for 5 years and have been teaching online for 5 years. I have the most experience in Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade, ESL, and P.E. I also love teaching about music, gardening, homesteading, health, and phonics. I received my Bachelor's in 2013 from The University of Texas of the Permian Basin and hold 3 teaching certificates: EC-6 Generalist, 4-8 Generalist, and EC-12 Physical Education. I believe in helping students develop skills to assist them in and out of the classroom. I love Outschool because it gives us the opportunity to grown in all areas- we are more than just a test score!
When I am not teaching I am either playing with my two kids, cooking new recipes, working in the garden, running, tending to the animals, practicing the fiddle, or selling real estate!
