Aloha mai kākou, (hello to you all!) In this class, Piko Po’o, we will learn multiple of concepts all in ‘ōlelo Hawaiʻi. We will learn multiple songs, the Roman Calendar (days of the week, months of the year, etc..) we’ll discuss the different moon phases of each day & even check on what kind of weather each of us may be having at our own house. Absolutely no prior knowledge is needed for this course. Just an excited haumana (student) who want to learn more about Hawai’i & Ho’oulu i ka...
Familiarize the haumana (students) with ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi & encourage the haumana (students) to speak ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, in which itʻll help revitilize & restore our native tounge to Hawaiʻi.
Practice singing the songs we learned. Practice saying it to different people in your ʻohana, your friends, whereever you may go.
Markers, crayons, color pencils, etc… tools to color with
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Nā makua (parents) are highly encouraged to sit near & kāko’o (support) their keiki learning.
