This ongoing course will cycle through the skills students need to navigate Calculus. These are the topics that many Calculus instructors assume students know and don't spend as much time in class developing. Each week is its own complete "unit" and the weeks do not build upon each other, but this course does expect students to have previously taken Algebra 2 or PreCalculus or be currently enrolled in Calculus. Week of June 4th - Linear Functions and Piecewise Linear Functions Week of June 11th - Analyzing Functions, Function Notation, and Interval Notation Week of June 18th - Polynomial Operations and Exponent Rules Week of June 25th - Function Composition and Function Operations Week of July 2nd - Quadratic Functions Week of July 9th - Exponential and Logarithmic Functions Week of July 16th - Asymptotes and Rational Functions Week of July 23rd - Right Triangle Trigonometry and the Unit Circle Week of July 30th - Trigonometric Functions and Equations Week of August 6th - Area, Volume, and Surface Area Cycle repeats August 13th The first session of the week will be an introduction to the topic through carefully selected examples. The second session of the week will be focused on problem-solving and error analysis. As an instructor, my goal is to meet students where they are at and to connect what we are learning to what they already know. Problem-solving will always begin with student ideas and will be guided through the new mathematical concepts.

Supply List
A TI-84+ Calculator or similar is recommend so students can develop technology skills that will help them in class. This calculator is not required as students can use the free online graphing calculator Desmos to complete all tasks needed each week.
