In this Differential Calculus and Vectors course, students will learn: The concept of limits and continuity, including how to evaluate limits and determine continuity The basic principles of differentiation, including the power rule, product rule, quotient rule, and chain rule Techniques for finding derivatives of various functions, including trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions Applications of differentiation, such as optimization, related rates, and curve sketching The concept of vectors, including their properties and how to perform vector operations like dot product and cross product Applications of vectors, such as parametric equations, vector equations and etc. Throughout the course, students will develop their analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as their ability to apply calculus to real-world scenarios. They will also have the opportunity to collaborate and engage in discussion with their peers to enhance their understanding of the material.
I have been running a Mathematics/Physics Tutoring company for around 5 years now. So I have had Plenty of students that requested help with Calculus. I have taught the course at all certain grade levels. Whether it was high school, or all the way up to and including second year university I am very well versed in this course.
Homework OfferedIn Differential Calculus and Vectors, homework assignments consist of a combination of problems and projects, completed either individually or in groups. Homework takes approximately 2-3 hours per week, and learners are expected to read independently 10-20 pages per week for the class. The readings will cover a variety of topics, including definitions, concepts, and applications of calculus and vectors. The projects and assignments will encourage learners to apply what they have learned to real-world scenarios and enhance their problem-solving skills.

Assessments OfferedLearner progress in Differential Calculus and Vectors is assessed through a combination of assignments, quizzes, tests, and exams. Assignments and projects are designed to provide learners with feedback and allow them to apply what they have learned. Quizzes and tests are used to assess learners' understanding of the material covered in class. Exams are comprehensive and cover all topics taught throughout the course. Learners will receive a letter grade based on their overall performance in the class.
At the start of the course I will write out the entire course syllabus as to what will be covered and what additional material will be expected of the students.
We will refer to Calculus and Vectors by: Erdman or the Nelson Calculus and Vectors book is almost the equivalent level for this course
