Welcome to Calculator Riddles! We will have fun together solving riddles by discovering secret words on a calculator! *Leaners will be given eight riddles to solve. *Leaners will be given five step-by-step operational challenges for each riddle including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. *When challenges are completed correctly secret words can be deciphered on the calculator. *Students will record answers on a printable worksheet. Student Learning Goals:
*Students will lean how to use use a calculator to perform four basic functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
*Students will learn how to decipher numbers used as letters to reveal answers to eight riddles.
*Students will have fun guessing answers to various riddles.
*Students will practice using a calculator.
*Students will use higher order thinking skills to complete four bonus challenge words on the calculator.
*Students will review larger numbers.
*Students will practice listening skills and following step by step directions.
