Welcome to “Crunching Numbers: Mastering the Calculator”! 🎉

Have you ever stared at a calculator and wondered if you're really using it to its full potential? Well, it's time to change that! In this class, we’ll unlock all the secrets!

Overview of key layout and screen

Entry of expressions in MathPrint mode

Using the 2nd and MODE buttons

Order of operations (PEMDAS) in entry and display

Common shortcuts (e.g., ANS, π, EE for scientific notation)

Clearing vs resetting (CLEAR vs RESET)

Session 1: Calculator Navigation and Basic Functions

Entering, simplifying, and converting fractions

Converting between mixed numbers and improper fractions

Decimal to fraction conversions

Working with complex fraction operations

Session 2: Fractions and Mixed Numbers

Working with variables using the x key

Evaluating algebraic expressions by substitution

Expression simplification using the table feature

Parentheses nesting and expression writing

Session 3: Algebraic Manipulation

Solving one-variable equations using guess-and-check and table

Using the TABLE feature for function input/output

Exploring linear functions: slope, y-intercept, zero

Table setup for systems of equations (comparison method)

Session 4: Solving Equations and Systems

Accessing STAT mode
