Students will learn different methods to find the area of a parallelogram.

Students will learn how to calculate the area using common Math formulas. They will also learn how to decompose and/or enclose shapes to find the area as well.

This class will include direct instruction and opportunity for student-supported learning.
•	How will you teach?
This class is structured for virtual whole group instruction.
•	What's your teaching style?
My teaching approach can be classified as the "demonstrator" style. Learners will be able to observe a teacher's model of calculating the area in Math. Afterwards the learner will be able to practice their own calculation of area during our live class session. During this time, the teacher will also be able to provide virtual support to learners.
•	How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)?
This is a live video class. Therefore, learners will get to interact with the teacher and peers.
•	Any required experience or knowledge learners need?
No prior experience is necessary. However, it will be helpful to understand how to do simple operations for addition, subtraction and multiplication.
