Description
Class Experience
In this class, students will work with the instructor to learn the process of Sweet Cream Butter making from start to finish. We will start with a quart of heavy whipping cream and the the end of class, learners will have turned that cream into butter. This class is a hands on experience. Children that enjoy cooking and baking will love this class. Being able to make butter from scratch is very fun and seeing your child serve his/her own homemade butter will be a joy. Any meal is enhanced...
Required Materials: Stand Mixer (example Kitchen Aid or other brand) 1 Quart Heavy Cream Sea Salt (or other preferred salt; this is a preservative for the butter) Sieve/Strainer Butter Mold (optional; can also use an airtight container)
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
