US Grade Preschool - 1
Topics will be discussed and students will be encouraged to share their ideas, move their bodies and sing. Learners will classify bugs into two categories, insect or spider, by learning the anatomy of each. They will learn how a bee tells other bees where to find the best pollen by practicing to do a waggle dance, just like the bees. Writing skills will be practiced as students learn how to draw a bee.
Students can come to class dressed in yellow, black/ brown clothes if they would like. (No bee costumes as this may be distracting). They will need to bring: - a sketchbook/ notebook/ scientific journal or loose paper - a pencil and an eraser - coloured pencils If you want to add to your sketchbook or scientific journal, join me for another class!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
