Class Experience
In this interactive class, students will explore math as it relates to business. How do you decide what to charge for an item? What kind of taxes do I need to collect or pay? Learners can come with a business idea, or use an imaginary business when it comes to solving problems. Week 1: Introduction: what is profit and how is it calculated? (I.e. gross and net revenue, costs, labor, etc.) Week 2: Calculations for pricing a product or service (i.e. materials, labor, overhead, transaction...
Students will be introduced to, and have the opportunity to practice, business math concepts.
I've owned several micro and small businesses over the last 12 years, and have worked with hundreds of clients on pricing their products, improving their profits, and reducing costs.
Any homework assigned is optional.
