US Grade Kindergarten - 3
After listening to the story, "Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs" by Ian Whybrow, students will practice their creative, STEAM "brick building skills (science, technology, engineering, art and math). Learners will put on their engineering helmets to create and construct a container to hold dinosaurs for Harry so he doesn’t have to use a blue bucket anymore. When there isn't enough time during class to complete the containers, I encourage learners to continue building after class. then, someone can take a picture and upload it to the classroom to share. I encourage learners to chat and share their designs while building. During class conversations, I will promote kindness and acceptance, allowing everyone to speak, share and listen to each other. Materials- building bricks, baseplate, toy dinosaurs (any small toy animals will work if dinosaurs aren't available, or dinosaurs built from "bricks") I have another brick building class called "A Field Trip to the Moon," if you are interested. I suggest you also look for my "Building with Bricks Creations Game" class. ~Teacher Sharon :-)
Learning Goals
Students will learn the anatomy of a brick.

Hello! My name is Sharon, Teacher Sharon. I am both thankful and excited to have this opportunity to help children from all over the world have fun while learning. I love making learning fun!
I have my Masters of Education (MEd) and over 20 years of experience teaching and learning from children of all ages. I have experience as a nursery school director, a Kid's Club supervisor (twice) and a classroom teacher for Pre-K through high school. I have also taught technology, after-school elementary science classes, cupcake decorating, and brick building.
I am very fortunate to have grown up overseas and have lived all over the world. Some of my many passions include creating fun, educational classes, scuba diving, traveling, science, crafting, my precious dog, cat, fish and snails and of course teaching.
I like to keep class sizes small to help learners engage and participate. If your child is interested in any of my classes that are not currently scheduled, or if a different time or day would work better for you, please feel free to contact me.
Learning in my classroom is engaging, energetic, fun, enjoyable, upbeat and entertaining. "Your child won't want to leave at the end of class and will beg to come back for more." (That's my superhero catch phrase.)
NOTE: I am very flexible with class scheduling. If you are interested in one of my classes, but you don't see it listed on a day or time that you want, please find a class that is already listed when you want the class. Send me a message and I will do my best to switch the class that you want with the one that is already listed.
I look forward to helping your child have fun while learning. Have a wonderful day,
~Teacher Sharon🙂
